Overview
This website is operated by Tired & Ambitious ("we", "us", "our"). By visiting the site, joining The 1% Mail Club or buying a gifted membership, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
The 1% Mail Club
The 1% Mail Club is a monthly snail-mail membership. Each month we mail members a letter and a small set of printed items (for example an art print postcard, reflection card, monthly challenge card, recipe card and sticker). Contents vary month to month and are chosen by us.
Memberships and billing
- Monthly membership: billed automatically every month on the date you joined, until you cancel.
- Annual membership: billed once for 12 monthly letters and renews automatically after 12 months unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- Gifted memberships: a one-time payment for 3, 6 or 12 letters. Gifts do not renew.
By joining a monthly or annual membership, you authorize us (through our payment processor) to charge your saved payment method on each renewal date until you cancel. Prices are in Canadian dollars and exclude applicable taxes, which are added at checkout.
All sales are final
Due to the nature of the product, all sales are final. Refunds are only available for months that have not been shipped, as described in our Refund Policy.
Ordering cutoff and shipping
Letters ship during the last week of each month. Orders placed by the 20th receive that month's letter; orders placed after the 20th start with the following month's letter. Full details are in our Shipping Policy.
Cancelling, skipping and changing your plan
You can skip a month, update your address, switch plans or cancel at any time from Manage membership in your account, or by emailing us. Cancelling stops future charges; letters you have already paid for will still be sent. See our Subscription Policy and Refund Policy.
Gift memberships
The purchaser is responsible for entering the recipient's correct name and mailing address. Gift notes are included in the recipient's first letter.
Birthday letters
If you share your birthday month, that month's letter arrives as a special birthday edition. Its contents may change from year to year.
Intellectual property
All artwork, writing, designs, logos and printed materials are owned by Tired & Ambitious or our licensors. Your membership gives you personal use of the items you receive; you may not reproduce, resell or distribute them commercially without our written permission.
Accuracy and availability
We try to describe our products accurately. Colours and print finishes may vary slightly from photos. We may change or discontinue the club, its contents or prices; we'll give members reasonable notice of any price change before it applies to them.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the site or your membership is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.

Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
